President of the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association Attends “Invest Sri Lanka” to Strengthen Thai–Sri Lankan Trade Relations

On April 3, 2025, Mr. Chomphol Phornchindarak, President of the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association, along with Mr. Mohamed Feroze Mohamed Zakariya, Vice President of TGJTA, participated in the “Invest Sri Lanka” Business Forum hosted by the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Bangkok, in collaboration with the Thai-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce.

During the event, the Association’s representatives had the opportunity to meet with H.E. Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and H.E. Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand. Their discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and strengthening the longstanding relationship between Thailand and Sri Lanka, particularly in the gem and jewelry sector where both nations have enjoyed a close and enduring partnership.
