Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korean Gem Trade Association to promote and develop the gems and jewelry industry between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of Korea. This milestone marks a significant step forward in strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and industry connectivity between the two countries.

On this occasion, Chomphol Phornchindarak, President of the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association, signed the agreement together with Charlie Yun, President of the Korean Gem Trade Association. The ceremony was witnessed by Somchai Phornchindarak, Chairman of the Gems, Jewelry, and Precious Metal Confederation of Thailand. The event was attended by the Board of Directors of the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association as well as members of the Korean Gem Trade Association, reflecting the strong commitment of both organizations to advancing industry collaboration.

 

The MOU aims to enhance market expansion opportunities for gems and jewelry businesses in both countries, promote business matching activities, facilitate the exchange of market intelligence, technology, and innovation, and strengthen industry standards and competitiveness on the global stage.

The cooperation framework also includes joint participation in trade fairs, seminars, and workshops, as well as the development of strategic partnerships to reinforce the supply chain and foster sustainable growth within the gems and jewelry sector.

  

This signing ceremony underscores the shared vision of both associations to build a stronger, more transparent, and globally connected gems and jewelry industry, while reaffirming Thailand’s position as a leading hub for gemstone trading and jewelry manufacturing in Asia and beyond.
