A 12.56-carat sapphire and diamond ring took the center stage at a recent Sotheby’s auction in Hong Kong, selling for HKD 18.7 million ($2.4 million), within its estimates.

The piece, which bears a cushion shaped, royal-blue Kashmir sapphire between by two trapeze-shaped diamonds, was the top lot at the September 19 High Jewelry sale, according to the auction house’s website.

In total, the sale garnered HKD 223.8 million ($28.7 million). The lots included colored diamonds and gemstones, and pieces from famous design houses such as Bulgari, Cartier, Graff and de Grisogono.

Here are the rest of the top 10 pieces:

This cut-cornered rectangular mixed-cut, 5.07-carat, fancy-pink, VS1-clarity diamond ring sold for HKD 11.4 million ($1.5 million), just below its high price.

A necklace with 39 graduated intense-green jadeite beads and a brilliant-cut diamond clasp exceeded its upper estimate to fetch HKD 8.3 million ($1.1million).

A de Grisogono Luna wristwatch brought in HKD 8.1 million ($1 million), more than seven times its high estimate. It has a half moon-shaped dial and bezel featuring brilliant-cut and baguette diamonds. The diamond-set, circular-link strap contains six principal step-cut diamonds, including a 7.10-carat, G -color, VS1-clarity one, as well as circular- and step-cut emeralds.

This Graff necklace is designed as ribbons of graduated pear-shaped and baguette diamonds, supporting a tassel of pear-shaped diamonds, with stones weighing between 0.90 and 3.01 carats, of D to G color and internally flawless to VS2-clarity. It went under the hammer for HKD 4.4 million ($571,705), beating its HKD 4 million ($514,471) upper presale price.

This ring features a cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant-cut, 6.82-carat, fancy-vivid-yellow, VS2-clarity diamond between a pair of half-moon diamonds. It made more than one-and-a-half times its top estimate, bringing in HKD 4.4 million ($571,705).

A set comprising a ring and earrings carrying oval translucent vivid-green jadeites, with the earrings sporting brilliant-cut diamonds, realized HKD 4.4 million ($571,705), exceeding its HKD 800,000 ($102,894) high estimate.

Sotheby’s sold this oval, 5.33-carat Mozambican ruby ring for HKD 4.3 million ($555,371), within its price range.

This ring bears a pear-shaped, 29.75-carat, fancy-intense-yellow, VVS1-clarity diamond between two pear-shaped diamonds. It beat its upper estimate to achieve HKD 4.1 million ($522,702).

Designed as a convertible jewel, this piece forms either a necklace or a tiara. It has a fringe of oval- and cushion-cut Burmese rubies, each surrounded by old European- and brilliant-cut diamond drops, joined by trios of baguette-cut diamonds. It went for HKD 4.1 million ($522,702), within its presale price range.
