President of TGJTA Joins the 2025 Joint Conference of the National Jewellery and Jade Industry Association

March 19, 2025 – Mr. Chomphol Phornchindarak, President of the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA), attended the 2025 Joint Conference of the National Jewellery and Jade Industry Association, a significant international platform for discussing trends in the gem and jewelry industry. The conference gathered key associations from the Chinese and Thai jewelry sectors, aiming to strengthen cooperation and foster sustainable industry growth.

During the event, Mr. Chomphol delivered a presentation on the 2025 Colored Gemstone Market Outlook, emphasizing the continuous expansion of the certified colored gemstone sector. The market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.0%, reaching a total value of $13,410 million by 2029.

 

He also highlighted the role of Gemports: Colored Gemstone Index (GPI) in promoting standardized and transparent pricing. The increasing demand for high-quality gemstones, particularly rubies and sapphires, is driving price appreciation in the global market. Gemports is positioned as a crucial tool in ensuring market stability and boosting investor confidence.

Representing Thailand at the conference were Ms. Wilasinee Noknuam, Secretary-General of TGJTA, and Mr. Akinakorn Phornchindarak, TGJTA Committee Member. Their participation further reinforced the importance of Thai-Chinese collaboration in the jewelry sector, paving the way for future industry partnerships
