The Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA), led by Mr. Chomphol Phornchindarak, President, and Ms. Wilasinee Nognuam, Secretary-General, warmly welcomed representatives from the Chinafort Gem and Jewellery Traders Association (CGJTA) from Sri Lanka. The meeting focused on potential collaborations and an exchange of insights regarding the growth and production trends of Sri Lanka’s gemstone industry, particularly Sapphire, the country’s most renowned colored gemstone.

During the discussion, TGJTA also emphasized its commitment to transparency in trade and raising awareness about the value of high-quality gemstones through the Gemports Report. This price report, compiled based on market surveys over the past four quarters per year, provides insights into price movements, helping consumers—especially younger generations—better understand the value of colored gemstones. While Gemports is a reporting tool that does not influence market mechanisms, it enhances consumer confidence.
