Mr. Zhao Chuanbo, an executive of HUATAI JEWELRY TRADING PLATFORM CO., LTD. and a distinguished member of the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA), visited TGJTA headquarters to personally congratulate Mr. Chomphol Phornchindarak on his official appointment as President of the association. Mr. Zhao reaffirmed HUATAI JEWELRY’s commitment to strengthening trade relations and fostering greater collaboration between Thai and Chinese gemstone and jewelry businesses.
During the visit, Mr. Zhao Chuanbo introduced Mr. Liu Chuandong, China’s leading live-streaming sales influencer in the jewelry sector, to the TGJTA leadership. The discussions focused on enhancing business cooperation, adapting to evolving consumer trends, and leveraging digital platforms to drive industry growth.
The meeting was attended by key industry figures, including Mr. Somchai Phornchindarak, President of the Gems, Jewelry, and Precious Metal Confederation of Thailand (GJPCT), alongside Mr. Chomphol Phornchindarak, TGJTA President, Mrs. Amira W Hatta, Vice President of TGJTA, and Ms. Vilasinee Noknaum, Secretary-General of TGJTA. A key topic of discussion was the rising influence of live-streaming commerce and its role in reshaping the global gem and jewelry market.
Mr. Liu Chuandong, widely known as “Dong Ge,” is a leading figure in live-stream jewelry sales, boasting over 6.45 million followers on Douyin (China’s TikTok). In 2023 alone, he achieved a staggering total GMV of ¥55 billion, with a record-breaking ¥1.5 billion in sales in a single day. His presence at the meeting underscored the immense potential of digital marketing in revolutionizing the jewelry industry.
Following the discussions, Mr. Liu Chuandong and his team toured the Jewelry Trade Center, Thailand’s premier gem and jewelry hub. They were introduced to TGJTA members and participated in content creation to promote member businesses through live-streaming, bridging the gap between Thai and Chinese markets.
This strategic engagement highlights the deepening ties between Thai and Chinese jewelry enterprises, paving the way for expanded business opportunities and reinforcing the global standing of the industry.
